Privacy Policy
Your quotes, your customers, your prices, and your logo never leave your own browser. We could not hand them over, sell them, or lose them, because we never receive them. The only things we hold about you are your email address and whether your subscription is active, and both of those live in Stripe rather than in a database of ours.

The complete list of what we hold
| What | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | Stripe | To send your receipt and your licence key, and so you can get back into billing |
| Whether your subscription is active | Stripe | To know whether to unlock the paid part of the tool |
| Your card details | Stripe, never us | We never see a card number. Payment happens on Stripe's own page |
That is the entire list. There is no row for your customers, your job addresses, your prices, your invoice history, or your logo, because none of that is ever sent to us.
Where your working data actually is
The quote and invoice builder runs on your device. Everything you type into it is stored in your browser's local storage, on that machine, in that browser. The PDF is generated on your device too. Nothing about a quote is transmitted anywhere when you make one, and you can prove that by turning off your connection and building one anyway.
This has a cost and we would rather say it here than have you find out later: if you switch computers, use a different browser, or clear your browsing data, that work is gone, and we cannot restore it because we never had a copy. There is a one-click export that writes everything to a file. Use it now and then.
Analytics, and the one place we deliberately do not run them
On the public pages of this site, the ones you are reading now, we run Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. They tell us which pages people land on, which searches brought them, where they stop reading, and which buttons never get clicked. Both set cookies and both send that data to their own companies. We use it for one thing: working out why people who need this tool do not end up buying it.
Neither of them runs on the quote and invoice builder at/app/, and neither ever will. That page is where you type your customers' names, their addresses, their phone numbers, and what you charged them. Session recording tools capture exactly that sort of thing keystroke by keystroke and upload it. Running one there would break the promise at the top of this page, so the builder loads no third-party scripts at all and we have a test that fails the build if anyone adds one.
We also read aggregate search statistics in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Those come from the search engines rather than from anything running here.
If you would rather not be measured on the public pages, any ad blocker or the browser's tracking protection stops both scripts, and the site works exactly the same without them. Nothing on this site depends on JavaScript to be readable.
Who else is involved
- Stripe takes the payment, stores your email and card, and runs the billing portal. Their privacy policy governs what they do with it.
- Cloudflare serves the pages. Like any web host they see request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and for keeping the site up.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measure the public pages only, as described above. IP addresses are anonymised in Analytics.
That is the full list. There is no fifth one, and none of them touch the builder.
We will email you about your own account: your receipt, your licence key, a warning before an annual plan renews, and a notice if your card fails. That is transactional and you cannot unsubscribe from it while you are a customer, because it is how you find out you are being charged.
There is no newsletter, no marketing list, and no drip sequence. The free duct charts do not ask for an email at all, and we never contact your customers under any circumstances.
Deleting your data
The part that matters most is the part you already control: clear your browser data for this site, or use your browser's site settings to remove local storage, and your quotes and invoices are gone from your device. Nothing of ours is left behind.
For the email and subscription record held in Stripe, cancel your subscription from the billing portal and then email[email protected] and ask us to delete the customer record. We will do it and confirm. Some payment records have to be kept for tax and anti-fraud reasons for as long as the law requires, and we cannot delete those on request.
If this site ever shuts down
One person runs this. If it stops being worth running, here is exactly what happens, written in advance:
- Everyone paying gets an email at least 60 days before the closing date.
- Billing stops immediately, and the current period is refunded for the days not used.
- The site and the export button stay online for those 60 days.
- The Stripe customer records are deleted after the final refunds clear.
- Your quotes and invoices are unaffected, because they were on your machine the whole time. Nothing needs migrating and nobody gets stuck.
Children
This is a tool for running a contracting business. It is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we hold, we will email everyone paying before it takes effect, not after. The date at the top is the last time it changed.
